Emulsion tube for diesel engines VW 2 Just as we indicated on technical sheet 570229, which is included with the cylinder head, this tube must be removed from the old cylinder head and mounted on the new one. The cylinder head feed line includes a distributor pipe. This uniformly distributes fuel to the pump injectors. The fuel pump drives the fuel to the cylinder head feed line. Fuel flows in the feed line inside the distributor pipe in direction of cylinder 1. There are transversal drill holes through which the fuel flows to the ring slot between the distributor pipe and the cylinder head. Fuel is mixed here with the hot fuel combustible, which is returned by the pump injectors to the feed line. This results in a uniform fuel temperature in the feed line for all cylinders. All pump injectors are fed with the same fuel mass, thus achieving uniform cyclic engine speed. Without this distributor pipe there would not be a uniform fuel temperature in the pump injectors. The hot fuel returned by the pump injectors to the feed line is driven by the fuel fed into cylinder 4 area towards cylinder 1. In this way, cylinder 4 temperature rises with respect to cylinder 1 and the pump injectors are receiving furl at a uniform temperature. The consequences would be irregular engines speeds and excessive temperature in the front...

TOYOTA 3 – 1KZ-T/1KZ-TE BRIDGE OVER-TIGHTENING BRIDGE OVER-TIGHTENING OF THE CYLINDER HEADS ON THE TOYOTA 3.0 (1KZT – 1KZTE) We have seen cases in which clients indicate that the camshaft for these engines becomes blocked, thus preventing rotation. The actual cause of this problem is the deformation produced by over-tightening its screws, which is producing the ovaling and conicity of the internal camshaft borings. The bridge is squashed onto the cylinder head and the aluminium bridge base resulting in this bridge deforming inwards when this combination of perpendicular forces occurs. The “Instruction Sheet” that is included in each packing box with the cylinder head indicates that the bridge screw tightening torque must not exceed 18 Nm, otherwise their design means they are liable to suffer permanent deformation. Their numeration must also be...

AMC – NISSAN YD 25 INJECTOR Cylinder heads have been seen that show vertical and horizontal cracks in the injector clamp lodging. In several cases finally have separate material of the threads of the base. This is caused by clear over-torque.of the material elastic limit is exceeded and the wall is broken by traction when tightening the injector bolt. OE and AMC in its Assembly Manual and in the technical note included with the head (see attached doc), clearly state to tight this M-8 bolt in between 25-28 Nm. the customer has to be very carefully when applying the required torque and checking the correct calibration of the used torque wrench. In the tests carried out in the lab to verify the actual breaking point of the injector clamp lodgings of this cylinder head family, the results have been that plastic deformation started after applying between 50-55...
